Over the last week or so we have received a number of questions regarding SensorSimple and I would like to provide a clear picture of what it is and the many different ways it can be used for remote monitoring and alerting. Because there are almost countless applications for SensorSimple sensors and Cloud monitoring I will break this up into a 2 or 3 part series.
First I will start with where it began. SensorSimple was created to be the simplest wireless sensor and remote monitoring solution to use and deploy. We experimented with other wireless sensor offerings from the smallest to the largest remote monitoring competitors. It was evident from the first device to the last that there needed to be a “simpler” product solution.
Sensors that can be easily purchased and installed with a Cloud monitoring solution that is just as easily configured and used for remote alerting, graphing and reporting. We made wireless sensors that work with our Cloud application to provide remote alerting via email, text or voice along with an intuitive Dashboard and advanced graphing plus automated reporting features. For added versatility the sensors can be either 2.4 GHz WiFi or SensorMesh RF technology. And because it’s Cloud based it can be accessed from any internet connected device from anywhere in the world. That is what SensorSimple is, “wireless sensor monitoring made simple”!
There are countless ways SensorSimple can be used. Beginning with Refrigeration, SensorSimple TEMP devices can be installed inside freezers and coolers to provide remote alerting and automate temperature reports to satisfy the strictest temperature storage regulations. Text and email alerts can be directed to the people who need to know immediately when there is a problem.
Commonly used "self contained" or stand alone refrigerated cases most common cause of failure is a dirty condenser. Use a TEMP device to monitor the case temp and condenser inlet or outlet temp to alert when the condenser needs to be cleaned instead of responding to it after it fails.
There are many other temperature specific applications. High temperature in a computer server room leads to expensive equipment failure, downtime and potential data loss. High or low temperatures can devastate a collection of Wine. High or low temperatures can also devastate an aquarium killing off all the coral and fish.
From Grocery, to Restaurants, Hotels, Schools, Pharmacies, and even residential applications like a home refrigerator, or even an Aquarium, there are many possibilities for SensorSimple to be used.
If like me, you are a fan of iconic 80s movies, you might say “we have a plethora of possibilities”!
